On 9th May 2012, Korean Aion servers got new update called “Age of Heroes” (it doesn’t have any number so it’s hard to tell if it’s 3.x or some minor update). This time update focused on changing difficulties of 35-50 content, cutting prices of Abyss gear, increasing rewards from Abyss sieges, adding new world monsters and new quests.

[Instances]

Some changes had been made in pre-50 lvl instances:

  • Alquimia Research Center: changed entry lvl from 41 to 35, cooldown time changed to 120 min, adjusted difficult of mobs and theirs positions in instance, increased exp, added gold accessory drops.
  • Aetherogenetics Lab: cooldown time changed to 120 min, adjusted difficult of mobs and theirs positions in instance, increased exp, added gold accessory drops.
  • Steel Rake: adjusted difficult of mobs and theirs positions in instance, increased exp.
  • Adma Stronghold: added possibility for Elyos to enter instance (rift is located in Theobomos), added new quests for Elyos, adjusted difficult of mobs and theirs positions in instance, increased exp.
  • Theobomos Lab: added possibility for Asmodians to enter instance (rift is located in Brusthonin), added new quests for Asmos, adjusted difficult of mobs and theirs positions in instance, increased exp.

[Monsters]

  • Added new named monsters in Abyss – it drops 60 lvl eternal weapons and 110-lvl enchantment stones.

[Abyss Siege Rewards]

Distribution of rewards during Abyss Sieges has been changed.

Asteria / Roah Lower Abyss

[Items]

  • New items from new world monsters were added (in Abyss, Tiamaranta, Serpan)
  • New items were added as drop from instances: Alquimia Research Center, Indratu Fortress, Roah / Asteria / Lower Abyss Fortresses.
  • Lower costs for Abyss Gear (30-40 lvl):
    Green armor Blue armor Gold armor

[Quests]

  • New quests for opposite faction were added in Adma Stronghold and Theobomos Lab.
  • New weekly / party quests for officers and generals were added. As a reward players can get blue or gold godstones.
